Kareem is hosting weekly group mountain bike rides every Tuesday evening at Wolf Cycles (4311 Lancaster Avenue). This is a chill, non-competitive, single track ride through the woods of the Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park. It’s open to all skill levels. Come ride with us if you’ve never mountain biked before, if you want to pick up some new tricks, or if you just want a calmer alternative to the Belmont Plateau Thursday night rides. This is a “no drop” ride, meaning the pace will be set by the slowest rider to ensure no one gets left behind. Since this ride goes through an off road course, a mountain or similar style bicycle is required, knobby tires are a must. If you would like to ride and don’t have a mountain bike please contact us at firehousebicycles@gmail.com.
Group Rides meet at Wolf Cycles (4311 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa 19104, 215-222-2171) every Tuesday at 5:30pm or at the entrance to the Belmont Plateau fire access road at 6pm.

We have some great deals on Fuji, SE, Terry, and Breezer at Wolf Cycles right now. We just went and picked up a load of new bikes that we’re able to sell at very deep discounts. We have road bikes, touring bikes, hybrids, cruisers, single speeds, bmx, and mountain bikes at killer prices. These won’t last long…

Wolf Cycles is Philadelphia’s oldest bicycle shop, operating since 1932! We offer new and used bicycle sales, bicycle repair and service, new and used parts, accessories, and skateboards. We carry Fuji, KHS, SE, Breezer, and Surly, as well as a selection of quality kid’s bikes and a huge variety of components. We’re right near Belmont Plateau, Drexel, and the upcoming pump track in Fairmount Park. Wolf Cycles is an important piece of Philadelphia cycling history. Countless Philadelphia residents bought their first bike at Wolf Cycles, sometimes generations back. Recently purchased by Firehouse Bicycles, we’ve expanded our hours, stock, and services. We also host group rides and community events. Come check us out!

And now Wolf Cycles does too! Our old tubes and tires are used to make the roads you ride your bike on. We’ve always recycled them, which we pay a fee for as well as paying for the labor and travel expense to bring hundreds of pounds of rubber to the recycling center. We still have one of the cheapest flat fixes in town! Only $5 labor!
Here’s our van full of tubes and tires, and a huge pile of tubes at the recycling center.

Ricky’s designing and fabricating a new sign for Wolf Cycles. This is the first version out of wood, the final version is going to be huge and metal! He’s been cutting it out with lasers at NextFab Studio, a membership-based, high-tech workshop and prototyping center.
